We teach Life Skills.
As our minds and bodies grow in recovery, so do the number of responsibilities:
- Work Schedules
- Probation Requirements
- Relationship Pressures
- Legal Issues
- Childcare, and more.
We at TLCR work to help you become better equipped to ease the pressures and handle essential tasks.
Call it “Life Skills Training” or “Dealing with Life on Life’s Terms.”
TLC Recovery homes, transitional living services and TLCR Centers have been recognized as tremendous benefits to the communities we serve. We offer a much-needed, unique approach to changing lives. TLCR will provide you with the tools you need to stay clean for the rest of your life, one day at a time.
Finding a job while in recovery from addiction and mental illness is not easy.
All of the Peer Support Staff at TLCR have a lived experience of building a new life for themselves while in recovery from addiction and/or mental illness. Peer Support share their experience strength and hope, and help guide rather than do for you.
I’m Clean and Sober, But What is there to DO!? We wondered the same thing when we were in your position. We soon found our new life was rewarding, fulfilling, and very busy.
TURTLE BAY CAFE
Turtle Bay Café is an employment training facility. All staff at Turtle Bay Café are peers, they have a shared experience of recovery and building a new life for themselves in recovery and also are specially trained in providing employment training.
PREGNANT & SCARED
Those of us who were in your situation also felt scared, but we stayed committed to a totally CLEAN pregnancy. Our children were born surrounded by LOVE and support. We at TLCR can show you what we learned and help you get all of your special needs covered at DES and WIC.
RECOVERY SKILLS MEETINGS
We have open and private meetings for TLCR Members. If you find it easier to share at private meetings, that’s OKAY. Our meetings help Members develop the skills necessary to create a lasting recovery for themselves. Court Cards are recognized and signed after these meetings. TLCR team members run our meetings, and we share honestly about our feelings, without fear.
